This is for those who find it hard to get up in time for the class and come just to write endlessly whatever I speak in the class.
Coz I think Class is a two way interaction and notes takers do not subscribe to this theory.
So happy sleeping and happy NOTES taking
Good Luck

  1. Sir it reminds me of a Robert frost quote

"you never take notes in a love affair" ;)

Then why do so in academics? :)

  2. It was nice to be back for that class after some gap. I did see some delighted faces tho' some were hidding in the corners to run away.
I always wonder y should students be scared off their teachers?..We least look like ghosts or characters of 'PHOONK'...
In my own way I am trying to make that typical typecast of a teacher to fade away...

  13. Hi sir!
i almost missed all these posts!
Please post the views and thoughts as a "new post" instead of commenting on this one, so that we can all know when the blog is updated.
we don't get updates on comments)
    thanks a lot!

  14. "new post"
I came back from Delhi and went to the unit.
I felt very strange and foreign to the whole scene.
I realize how a two week disconnect from the work scene makes u so remote from the mundane job.
I love this job if not for any thing else , for the vacations alone. But primarily I keep going for the teaching kicks especially the post graduate residents.
Its a treat to see them grow from "vagies" to smart young surgeons .
They do come with lot of energy, all they need is direction.
oh yes When the allotment of pgs was being done , I enjoyed watching some wanting my unit tho' not really recognizing or knowing me... as I was right there and they did not know who I was.
This calls for a induction meeting so that each faculty and the residents meet and interact freely.
I have not been able to sell this idea to any adm. so far...shall try again next year tho'.
Another wish I have is ( i just blew an eyelash for that ) that all our old pg passouts should connect with me thru any means , maybe thru this blog or any other network site...any sugestions I think Sohrab can take the lead, even undergrads are also welcome.
More later and bye for now

  15. Thanks a lot Sir for posting all these lectures at this blog. it really helps if we miss any lecture (maybe we were just watching a lot of movies the previous night). Also these ppt presentations are memories we can preserve to remeber our college lives later on!! And i think you shouldn't drop this blog idea. Many more of your fans will follow this blog when they get a chance to be online, maybe during internship or when they are home( our hostel is not wi-fi so not many have internet access, they use internet on mobiles, where it is difficult to open blogs and even more downloading the files)
    thanks again..

  16. Hi Anony
    Good and encouraging note
Well I do not plan to close my blog tho the ppt posting may be under review if not next year then definitely after two years
I believe our unit has been allotted to teach Operative surgery classes for your batch, it seems like a never ending companionship....
as I always say that all good things come to an end.. may be I should add that they come to an end to make a new beginning..
I wish I could make this wifi idea for the hostels to work...but I will definitely float this idea to people who matter and decide...
Hope u r enjoying your vacations , well I am for sure.
    bye

  17. I read one of my old residents buzz mail the other day.
I loved every bit of it... who doesn't like admiration..
I think God has made us such that we all bask in praise even if it is not factual...
    thank you dear....
one thing is ...he writes so well that I wonder if he should try his hand in evaluating people...

I wish I could put that up for u to read....

Weather is turning fine and I hope it remains so for some time atleast... all those global warming ghosts would have drowned and dead by now...
I don't know why people believe in prophecying doom and disaster all the time and never see the good things happening around.. well I am a die hard optimist and think that this world is good enough to look after itself..
